Coats

As the leaves start turning and fall is upon us I notice that I am starting to wear my coats again.  I have not worn a coat all summer, but I was sure happy to have some coats on me last week. As it started raining and I still needed to go outside and walk the dog, I was thankful I had my rain coat on. I  took my umbrella and walked in the rain. I noticed the rain moving all around me, splatting on the floor, in puddles and on the leaves and cars driving. I was thankful for my rain coat that kept me nice and dry. I noticed I held the umbrella tight as a lot of rain was coming down fast. I love the noise of rain, I feel peaceful and still. The next day it was windy and cold and I had to go outside and garden a bit, so I put on a warm fluffy coat to keep me warm. I noticed the wind all around me moving my hair left to right, I noticed the leaves moving on the ground and making a rustling sound, I felt happy feeling nice and warm in my snuggly coat. I felt a feeling of gratitude come over me as I became aware of all the details that made my coat warm. The people that sowed it together, designed it, shipped it, sold it, drove it around etc.  Coats are pretty awesome and I am thankful to have some…as we never now what weather we are going to have next. So enjoy your coats and breathe!
