Wind

The other day when I walked out of my house the wind was very strong. My hair was flying all around, my chimes where making super loud music and my coat got pulled around as I was getting out of the house to walk my dog. Your normal instinct is that you want to protect yourself against the wind, but why, let’s just appreciate it and enjoy it. I put my hair in a pony tail and felt the wind on my face. It felt nice. As I was walking my dog I noticed how the wind was moving everything around me, the trees where going left and right, the leaves on the ground were flying up and gusts of wind pushed up against my body. Wow, the wind was strong. As I was noticing all the things around me acclimating to the windy weather I felt peaceful. Everything around me became movement. I thought:” These leaves could have been on the ground for months but now they are up high. These trees are so strongly rooted in the earth standing majestically upright, but now they are dancing in the wind. I enjoyed the feeling of wind and being present with all the movement around me. It felt peaceful. So appreciate the wind and enjoy the movement.
